The challenge of shooting sports is made all the more difficult when you're doing it on a 5D Mark II, a camera obviously designed for something else.It can be frustrating when you're tracking a player driving to the basket or running the field and your auto focus can't keep up and photographers around you are snapping off twice the photos in half the time.
But if you can time it right, or just get plain lucky, and get a frame without a ball or arms in the way of the player's face, the photos look great considering the very low light they were shot in.
Here's hoping the Mark III will have a faster frame rate, or there will soon be a more affordable full-frame Canon camera that can be used to shoot a variety of subjects including sports.
